Your pledge today powers our athletes tomorrow. “A rand now is a rand forever.”
Rowing is one of the most competitive sports in the world. For South Africa to compete – and win – on the global stage, we need a solid and lasting financial foundation. The South African Rowing Sustainability Fund has been created to ensure rowing in our country is adequately funded in perpetuity.

The Fund will be independently governed and professionally managed:
Only 5% of the fund will be disbursed annually, protecting and growing the capital raised.
The fund will be housed in the Team Powerhouse Trust, run independently of RowSA
Independent trustees oversee governance, with one trustee representing RowSA.
Funds will be housed with a reputable investment house in low-risk investments.
RowSA is the sole beneficiary, accessing funds quarterly via a clear business plan.
Funding will enable long-term investment across every level of the sport:
Olympic & World Championship preparation.
School programmes and grassroots expansion.
National certification and training pathways.
Performance tracking, e-rowing, digital engagement.
National campaigns, storytelling, and a united brand.
Rowing access in under-represented communities.

No one wants to be the first or only donor. Pledges will only need to be honoured once R50 million in pledges has been secured.
We need passionate supporters to:
The Fund will help achieve RowSA’s top priorities:
This is our moment to invest in a legacy – for our athletes, our communities, and our country.
